January in Review

Hopefully all of you have come to the end of January feeling like the year is off to a good start!  I know that around here January both felt like the longest month and at times the shortest in a long time.  I suppose this is what happens when you're getting the finishing touches in place for a nursery and know that there could be a little person in your home any week now.
The last couple of weeks I've been able to sit back and enjoy some last bits of time without any real agenda or pressing need to get things done which has been really nice although I am going a bit stir crazy at this point.  Because of that there's not a whole lot to wrap up for the month.

On the blog we saw my first true series, Coupon Without The Crazy, which also happened to be my first posts not directly related to baking or crafting.  I also starting linking up with Thrifty Thursdays over at Living Well Spending Less which is something I've been wanting and meaning to do for a while now but the start of the coupon series along with the new year gave me just the motivation I needed.

If you missed the coupon series here's a brief overview of each week:

Where To Start - Learn exactly what you think you'll learn from this.  It's by no means a complete guide to the language used but rather a focus on the one single way I coupon that would have made a big difference if I had started sooner.

It's All About The Paper - We expanded upon the simple way to incorporate coupons and took a look at where to find paper ones and how I go about organizing them.

Efficient Shopping Made Easy - I walked us through my process of creating my grocery list including a look at the most used app on my phone.

Stockpiling With Sanity - We took a look at why you should consider stockpiling and what that has looked like in each of the small apartments I've lived in since beginning on this journey.

So what's coming up in February?  Come back next week for a return to what you've come to expect on The Geeky Loft, tutorials and recipes abound.  I worked on a number of projects for the nursery that I can't wait to share with you!

As The Husband and I expect to be meeting our little girl any day now please be patient if posts are up a bit later than usual or a week is skipped here or there.  :)
